House passes bill that benefits drivers of hybrids

The House passed a bill this morning to help Coloradans who lease Toyota Priuses or other hybrid vehicles and have run into hassles with their finance agencies over who gets to claim the federal innovative motor vehicle tax credit.

Mayor Hancock waives DMV Furlough Days to improve customer service

Mayor Michael B. Hancock today waived the four furlough days remaining in 2012 for the Denver Motor Vehicle Division.  This action is part of the Mayor’s ongoing efforts to improve customer service throughout the City.

RTD presented with the Transportation Security Administration’s “Gold Standard” Award

RTD presented with the Transportation Security Administration’s “Gold Standard” Award

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) was presented the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) "Gold Standard" award for being in the top 10% of all transit agencies for the assessment called "BASE" Baseline Assessment Security Enhancements.  The award was presented by TSA personnel at the RTD Board Committee meeting on February 14.

Southwest Transit Association (SWTA) National Conference held in Denver, hosted by RTD

The SWTA 32nd National Conference & Expo will be hosted by Regional Transportation District (RTD), February 12 – 15, 2012 at the Sheraton Downtown Denver, 1550 Court Place. SWTA is a regional transit association representing Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
