Construction affects traffic around DIA, detours in place

Beginning on Saturday, May 19, 2012 Denver International Airport (DIA) passengers who take taxis, RTD buses, the Pikes Peak/Mt. Elbert shuttles or other forms of ground transportation to Jeppesen Terminal will notice a change in their passenger drop-off and pick-up locations.  Construction is starting on the bridges adjacent to the south end of the terminal, which will be rebuilt to accommodate the South Terminal Redevelopment Program. 

Delays expected for Aurora, Denver and Lakewood drivers due to Colfax Marathon

To provide a safe environment for the 2012 Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon, the cities of Aurora, Denver and Lakewood will have temporary traffic impacts along Colfax Avenue on Sunday, May 20, 2012. While travel on Colfax Avenue will be restricted, normal traffic patterns will resume as soon as it’s safe for athletes, spectators and motorists.

Colorado Center Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge Project anticipated to begin construction in 2013

The Colorado Center Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge will provide greatly needed improved pedestrian and bicycle access over Interstate 25 in the vicinity of Colorado Boulevard and East Evans Avenue in Denver. The bridge, an arch‐type structure with access ramps on each end, will span I-25, landing at Cherry Street to the north and RTD’s Color ado Station (light rail transit) to the south.
