Albertson’s LLC is collecting donations through its in-store fundraising program across all of its stores in support of The Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts following the devastating tornadoes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
A media bagging challenge competition helped kick off Safeway’s annual fundraiser for people with disabilities this week pairing Denver-area media personalities with Easter Seals clients and Special Olympics athletes who are employed by Safeway. The goal was to pack a cart full of groceries in the fastest time, using some tender loving care. During the month of April, customers can choose to donate at the register to Easter Seals Colorado and Special Olympics Colorado. Over the past four years, the fundraiser has helped raise more than $2.5 million dollars for these charities.

Mullen High School in southwest Denver will host local senior citizens as they celebrate the 19th annual Senior Citizens Prom on Saturday, March 31st from 7pm – 9:30pm. The theme of this year’s event is “An Evening with Old Elitch Gardens” and will take place inside the Hutchison Field House on the school campus.
